REQUIREMENTS FOR THE COFFEE CHECK EVALUATION

THE MAIN ONES

  1. Coffee beans and milk
    Use of quality ingredients (coffee beans, milk, cacao etc.). One of the criteria for evaluation is the purchasing price. Regarding the milk for example, it has to be fresh (not UHT treated). Other aspects may be the use of fair trade/organic coffee beans and the time span between roast date and brewing.

  2. Machines
    The machines used have to be installed properly (for example the group head temperature) and cleaned following a daily cleaning routine. The presence of a properly regulated water filter is essential for a positive evaluation.

  3. Employed Baristas
    The employed baristas have to be qualified for coffee brewing. Beyond the basics (grinder adjustment, dosing of ground coffee, correct milk frothing) bonus points are given for the ability of the barista to present the cappuccino with Latte Art decorations.
